Local Calendar
In addition to their work with a wide variety of companies, businesses and community groups,
Mary Brandl and Anita Bendickson teach open-to-the-public courses and workshops
in personal safety and self-defense on a regular basis at a variety of locations in the Twin Cities
(Minneapolis/St. Paul) area. Instruction may also be arranged in a format and schedule to suit

--Burnsville/Eagan/Savage Community Education - Two mothers/daughters & others self-defense workshops, one on Friday April 25, 2008, 6:30-9:45 PM, and will be repeated on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, 6:00 - 9:15 PM. Call 952-707-4110 for cost, location and registration.
-- at St. Paul Midwest Karate Assn - self-defense workshop will be scheduled on a Saturday in Spring, 2008, 1:00-5:00 PM. Cost $45 per person, includes book Scenarios in Self-Defense. --Community Crime Prevention/SAFE - Short workshops, FREE & open to the public, two presently scheduled for this spring. One is on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, 6:30-8:30 PM at Waite Park, 1810 34th Ave NE, the second is on Saturday, May 17, 2008, 2:00-4:00 PM at Audubon Park, 29th & Buchanan St NE. --University of MN, Course # P.E. 1044 - Fall semester starts Sept, 2008. Two sections offered MW, 8:00-8:50 A.M. & 9:05-9:55 A.M. Same times for two sections offered TTh. All sections on the Minneapolis campus.
--University of MN Extension course - Fall semester starts Sept, 2008. Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00 P.M., St Paul campus.
